If we knew
how to change
the monsters
in our basements
we would.
Sometimes mine
wears the guise
of a little sweet
blonde girl
with pigtails
and a white
summer dress...
but
she doesn't always
look so
sweet.
She is also
my gremlin
my intimate
saboteur.
We all have
a monster
who lives
between our
ears...
whispering
what seems like
perfectly logical
nonsense...
'We can't trust him'
'It will never last'
'we can't ask for that
it's too much.'
The price
of being right
is a life
of misery
and being
poor.
@#$%^ that noise!
We know that dance.
It's so familiar it's
sickening.
So dig and
unearth the lies
we have believed
The monster
is only so
because of the poison
we have been
living off of
since our childhood...
underneath that
hulking beast
is a child who
deserves to be
happy, loved
and safe.
Isn't that what
all mothers
and fathers
deep down
want for their
children?
We are worthy
We are deserving
We can ask for more
There is enough
we ARE enough...
forgiveness
is for
ourselves...
a way to'stop
the poison,
the venom
that pollutes
our mind
to believe
lies.
The time is now
to stop being
a survivors,
and become
someone
who thrives!
!@#$% being
a weed...
deep down
I'm a rose,
powerful,
able to protect
myself,
beautiful,
and sought
by many...
My money monster
is just a little girl
who has been lied to
and believed
every foul word
she was told
by people
she trusted
and some she
didn't...
Your monster
is no different
than mine.
It's time
to change the lies
and become
what we were
always meant
to be...
Abundant,
Safe,
Secure,
Cared for,
Worthy,
Enough,
Vibrant,
Thriving...
