Poetic Verses

Mr. Van Gogh

You left this world misunderstood
Which was such a tragic shame
But what you did the day you left
Cast shadows on your name.

When they who once were closest
Came to view you with disgust
You abandoned them and then withdrew
Since they had lost your trust.

You must have felt so all alone
While suffering through your pain
Until at last, you took your flight
When the hurting would not wane.

And yet, nobody told you
So maybe it is true
That the world was never meant for one
As beautiful as you.

Yes, because you felt misunderstood
You decided not to stay
Which was for all a tragedy
The day you went away.
