His Downfall Sombre days in your childhood How I tried to brighten the mood An episode buried in the past Yet its mark lingered on as rust Nasty events altered your attitude A change that left you misunderstood Early years an unpleasant phase Vividly seeing acts of disgrace All happened to sharpen our senses Never trust men with amiable faces Let judgment be done in His will Eyes fixed where good ways prevail In life common sense is the guide Gem of wisdom He will provide Honesty the virtue for life and pride Been in that era influenced by fear Vanquished the man you called Hitler Nothing can compare tranquility Regained freedom, peaceful and free Let me recall your acts of bravery Even then you had sense of loyalty Dreadfully insane a father could be Endangering his child where love should be Silence your weapon to face savagery Madly pointed a gun on your temple An act that marked his downfall.
