Where are those who are wise,
Where are those as scholars;
Please open my eyes,
How to make more dollars.
Where are the persuasive,
Speakers of our time;
Why are they evasive,
From admitting a crime.
Has God turned the wisdom,
Into utter nonsense;
All about His Kingdom,
Causing to be intense.
The world with its soundness,
Can never recognize;
Receiving blessedness,
From evil in disguise.
He resolved with Good News,
Making an absurd guide;
For changing our views,
To make us all abide.
For we speak as to save,
All of those who believe;
From the death in the grave,
Salvation to receive.
Jews ask for wondrous signs,
And Greeks look for wisdom;
Able to bypass the fines,
To get in His Kingdom.
The message is that Christ,
Since He had been crucified;
On the cross sacrificed,
As to where He had died.
But this offends the Jew,
And makes no sense to them;
Nor to probably you,
That the people would condemn.
But to the Jew and Greek,
Who are called, He is Christ;
For the power we seek,
Stops us being enticed.
