I was always extremely proud to have the Australian Diggers (Infantry) as our allies in Vietnam
and eventually was able to take my one week R&R (Rest & Relaxation leave) in Sydney, Australia
near the end of my year in Vietnam. It was the best vacation I ever had in my life.
