Pay your debts as they come due,
Good credit will come to you;
You will find favor in God,
Being prudent as you trod.
One debt you can never pay,
Even if you do obey;
And that is the debt of love,
That is flowing from above.
Those who love others that sought,
Have fulfilled what Moses taught;
So you should love your neighbor,
As you help in his labor.
Love never does anything,
Without any harm to bring;
So have no wrong desires,
That maybe sin acquires.
Never murder, never steal,
Nor adulterous appeal;
What Moses taught love fulfills,
Where peace of mind instills.
You know the times that we live,
No one willing to forgive;
Deviating from the light,
Bigoted ready to fight.
It is time for to wake up,
Start brewing another cup;
Our salvation is near,
And to put yourself in gear.
No longer should you embark,
In areas in the dark;
And get rid of all those things,
That immorality brings.
For the night is almost gone,
So prepare for a new dawn;
Things that belong in the night,
Do not bring them to the light.
Live like Jesus our Lord,
With nothing of His ignored;
Forget your sinful nature,
As to be a new creature.
