 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

I am a man, who has endured,
Under the rod of His fury;
As a discipline by the Lord,
That has caused me to be weary.

The Lord has driven me away,
To the darkness within the night;
Too often I have gone astray,
And blocked from entry to the light.

God beat me again and again,
With making my flesh start to shred;
For disdainfulness I have been,
Pain and agony that I dread.

I felt the breaking of my bones,
Surrounding me with bitterness;
As He kept throwing rocks and stones,
Then tossed in the dark wilderness.

Like the ones who died long ago,
I gave up hope and had much doubt;
No longer could I ever know,
And see what the light is about.

I am shackled with heavy chains,
Even when I cry and try to call;
Up my spine I feel shooting pains,
Suffering from my mortal fall.

I have no way that I can share,
Since I have been blocked from the path;
And has turned a deaf ear my prayer,
As He continues with His wrath.

Just like a lion stalking prey,
He has forced me off of the road;
Torn me to pieces cannot say,
How everything will unfold.

I have become a laughingstock,
Everyone makes fun of me;
Being ousted out of the flock,
For Heaven I will never see.
