When is it best,
To say goodbye,
To say enough ' s, enough.
Is it when the heart wouldn't heal,
Or the mind be still,
even for a moment.
Could it be the time has passed,
Still holding on to nothing.
Can we still tell ourselves,
That things might change,
Knowing that they can't.
Is it time to walk away,
Before it comes to that.
