Old Flame
You caught me by surprise
by calling out of the blue
You said you were in town
looking for something to do
So I invited you over
and you happily agreed
You needed some company
and I fulfilled the need
I welcomed you with a hug
and gave you a kiss
Memories came flooding back
how much you were missed
We had a drink or two
and talked about the past
Which only made me wonder
why didn't we last
It was getting late
and you chose to stay
We made love til morning
and then you went away
Now it becomes clear to me
I soon will not forget
You burn to hot to last
but still no regret
