I sit and listen to the rain,
It reminds me of better days.
Like the day we first met,
The biggest smile you had on your face.
It also reminds of some sad days,
Like the night we spent together.
Twas the night before you left,
We held each other and cried.
We did not want to say goodbye,
I remember how you held me.
I still remember the feeling,
When ur body shook when you cried.
I knew so did mine as I cried on you,
Then we kissed and I had to go.
I remember watching you in the car,
As I faded away into the darkness.
Now every time it rains I sit outside,
I sit on the front steps and cry.
Because the rain reminds me,
The pain we felt and shared.
When we kissed and said goodbye,
In the darkness with cold cold air.
I'll always cry when it rains,
Till the day I see you again.
Its been five years so far,
I miss you my dear.
But to myself I sit and think,
Just remember I'll see you again soon.
Then I call you and hear your voice,
I laugh and cheer up .
Its nice hearing your voice everyday,
When I call and you pick up the phone.
