for the first time, my words have failed me
they've left me without purpose or direction
and when i shook all the teeth in my mouth individually, most of the letters on my swollen tongue had escaped
aimless and naked without my language, i shiver as my blue skin hits the light
and now that the breeze has ceased, i'm not sure what's left to carry my weary bones
rest is all i crave these days
but it simply escapes me
and every time it slips through my fingers, it leaves my hands cut up and filthy
and the entire world seems to sting my wounds
