The people complain out loud,
To the Lord of their worry;
Turns into an angry crowd,
Trying to vent their fury.
When the Lord heard what they said,
He became angered with rage;
Fire became their death bed,
Being trapped within a cage.
The people cried out to me,
And I prayed unto the Lord;
Stop the fire was my plea,
For calming down of the horde.
Some foreigners among those,
Had a strong craving for lust;
Could care less for other woes,
Of the few they did not trust.
For they loved all of the meat,
Strong craving for the food;
As well as some fish to eat,
Their stomachs were in the mood.
But they lost their appetite.
For nothing in this wilderness;
Just poisonous plants in sight,
Their hunger was causing stress.
I heard the families cry,
So I asked the Lord of this;
Inquired the reason why,
People get a deathly kiss.
Why am I being weight down,
And made to be their mother;
Caused me in casting a frown,
Neither am I their father.
Impossible to give birth,
Since I do not have a womb;
I cannot see of the worth,
If it puts me in a tomb.
Help me with this heavy load,
So I can trust and obey;
Showing me the proper road,
O Lord as I kneel and pray.
