Like dominoes, days fall to a tee
repeated motion, bereft curiosity.
Dull emotions, weary soul,
lingering days; is this all?
All I see is dark and grey,
every feeling is incomplete.
All I hear is my own heart,
spiteful, cold arrhythmic beat.
I was promised a bright future,
I was sold a life of wonder,
I was made to be free.
Is this all you offer me?
Where's the endless bluest sky?
Where's the eye with stars that spark?
Where's the magical waterfall?
Where's the beauty of it all?
Where's the scary, heavy breathing?
Where's the running for my life?
Where's the close call to death?
Where's the fuel that makes life run?
Good ain't good without the bad
so remember this oh lord
If this is all you offer me
I am definitely letting go.
