Tossing and turning in bed thinking about the past
About our time together and why it didn't last
You left my heart in pieces and it hurts me so bad
I don't know whether i should be angry or be sad
see your the strong wind to my ship that helped me set sail
the confidence to my mind when i was scared to fail
coach in my corner when my back is against the ropes
hands that pulled me up from the darkest troubling slopes
now you're just the past and alone in this bed i stay
putting back together my broken heart as i lay
we started out so hot how did we get so cold
I guess your feelings can just change like weather
I thought you and I could last until we grow old
please come back and put these pieces back together
how can you leave me like this do you hate me that much
how can you just not miss my voice or my loving touch
was everything a lie please tell me that is not true
why tell me you love me then leave me feeling so blue
see your the rainbow after the violent thunderstorm
the support i need to help me go out and perform
full moon always shining so bright in my darkest night
savior when i was lost in darkness my guiding light
now you're just the past and alone in this bed i stay
putting back together my broken heart as i lay
we started out so hot how did we get so cold
I guess your feelings can just change like weather
I thought you and I could last until we grow old
please come back and put these pieces back together
