There always something more important that takes the place of what really matters in Life There are jobs to do and places to go and we never seem to catch up Enough to get rid of the strife The measure of a man is the contents of his soul This is a blessing more powerful than riches of silver and gold It is not the strength of his back or knees, but in his capacity to love That is the true gift from the Lord God above It is the ability to place another person as his top priority And be proud to know that he does not always side with the majority For what is more important in life than our word of bond That follows us into the Great beyond It is not the amount of work that we do that really matters Because we will all stand before the Most High Grand Master And he will not count the money that we made on earth But what we did for others, as our true and lasting worth Vote for this poem
