The secret of a poet By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
There's a secret in every poem I write
In the scars the linger just after a fight
My words may not mean much
But to me I feel them in every touch
Like a poetess I'm dressed in my favorite words and rhymes
I tug a smile at the edge of my eyes crying
Painful is the burden of this soul
To say but only one word
Writing is my bandage
It works to my advantage
For I can express all I feel
And suddenly I heal
I love this dance between paper and pen
I could watch and write those words over and over again
And yet you will never know
Of those exact thoughts that go through my head
I wish there was a way for you to see
But it just can't be
For you hold your own secret to your pen
For you hide an emotion to fight again
For you too have written a life story
And that holds its own glory
So write
And never stop writing
So fight
And never stop fighting
So tell
And never stop telling
That will be your hidden message
The one that lands you among poets
