Clenched, blank slates crush
and chew. Rinsed,
brushed, and strung. Stained,
corroded, and
plaque-covered.
Glowing smiles open cold hearts.
Cavities,
dirty-brown specs, and empty
spaces leave behind
mean faces.
First teeth forward: pain, tears, and
ear melting
screeches. Last tooth left
swallows wisdom;
consumes time.
