Light shade of blue By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
From the beginning she had me,
When I saw her I knew it could be,
Her and I together until one hundred three.
She could always get through,
Just look at me with the light shade of blue,
That's all she had to do.
There was always something about those eyes,
I can still see them when I look into the sky,
Doesn't help that I can only wonder why,
I don't have them in this life anymore,
I can feel it in my heart in my core,
That they're gone for good but I'll never be sure,
And to be honest they're the only reason I go to the store,
Because I might just run into you,
And this time you might see it too,
Just a chance for you to see what I do,
When I see that light shade of blue.
Because I'm looking into your soul,
I can see you as a whole,
Remember in the car with the tootsie roll,
That was the last time I was in control.
Maybe you'll see the bottom of my abyss,
Or you look and see our first kiss,
I want you to know you can always come back to this,
Because you're everything I miss.
Everything good comes to an end,
Just don't cry when we descend,
Because we'll find a new friend,
Not everything is going to mend.
But if we don't break and just bend,
This love I will always defend.
