Because I feel all warm and fuzzy when the words work well together.
Because the pen is my friend,
and my feather duster.
Because a fresh page represents the potential to rattle this rusty cage
and wage war against my defenses.
Because entropy is relentless.
Because this body is just a rental,
consciousness maybe accidental,
and I'm a few lentils short of a proper soup.
Because coffeehouse groupies will do almost anything.
Because I can't sing, or dance.
Because there's a slim chance she'll read this.
Because honestly,
what's more fun than getting pissed up and putting pen to paper in an arrogant attempt to reinvent the wheel.
Because words can heal.
Because Middle Earth is a real place,
and I can almost taste Lembas bread.
