The rain that fall... By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
The rain that falls today should never go away
Its a lovely shade of grey that covers the sun rays
The rain that falls today falls upon this city street
Falls upon the many shades of moving umbrellas
The temperature drops and soon the rain turns to ice
But it is alright because I was going to hang here tonight
Beside this fire place where the leather and wood creates
An ambiance that just can't be replaced by just anything
Wrapped in a blanket of wool with a book well read
With a face from a dream still smiling in my head
Fall has slipped in and the leaves they turn a dark brown
And when this night is over they will lay upon the ground
The rain that falls today should never turn to blue
Because the fire is blazing and the night feels so cool
The jazz is blowing and wine is flowing to my head
As I sit here reading a book that has been well read
