Chain rxn

Born in strength, innocence bound to flesh.
Act after treacherous act, a childhood destroyed.
She couldn't help herself, forsake - do not think.
It had to be done to create the next link.
The taker of his body.
He stood with crutches made of ash, maple, and birch.
Burned from the words he could not grasp,
he sipped lies, disguised as truth and trust.
She had to break free of her own past.
The taker of his mind.
He stood again with anger and vengeance.
He tried to forgive and make sense of the chain.
When the maker of the third link came.
She couldn't help herself, she had to survive.
The taker of his heart.
Bound and broken, he lies with me.
A shell of the shell all she's taught him to be.
Swelling with pain, throbbing with hate,
I tradehis wounds for mine; my only love and mate.
The taker of the chains. We will soon be free.
