It's a lovely day for loving you

Your hand in mine a special time,

We walk along in bright sunshine,

You tell me all the things you like,

A birthday cake in candlelight,

You hold me close your dress so short,

It slides up on my jeans 'it's caught,'

There's nothing much that we can do,

So I'll just have to tell the truth,

'It's a lovely day for loving you.'

The grass so soft the sky so blue,

The birds fly low to look at you,

A perfect picture lovely girl,

Why wouldn't nature stop and serve,

An eyeful for a connoisseur,

Who might chance past to stop and stare,

Such beauty in one place so rare,

While they look on I'll tell the truth,

'It's a lovely day for loving you.'

The night so still the moon so high,

Your lips so red your eyes on fire,

I wouldn't have a chance to lie,

Will I love you till I die?

Of course I will, of course I do,

To watch the stars I lay with you,

Our fingers meet our bodies move,

I feel compelled to tell the truth,

'It's a lovely day for loving you.'
