When I look in the mirror,
I see me.
A girl who is kind, putting others before herself.
A girl who is determined to make something of herself.
A brave 6th grader rising above the names and taunting.
A 7th grader who listened even if she didn't have the same curtesy.
Along with a smart 8th grader who knew bottles and pills wouldn't help her.
Someone who believes dyslexia is never an excuse.
When people look at me they see a short, dark-haired, brown-eyed girl.
When I look in the mirror,
I only see me.
