This summer air dries my tears,
But it cannot dry the sadness,
Alas I find that nobody cares,
If my grief descends into madness.
At least Autumn cold suits my melancholy,
I absorb myself in damp and pain,
Woodland walks, scratched by holly,
Tears invisible through the rain.
Winter frigidity settles my soul,
My heartbeat slow, my mind numb,
Here it is easy to gain self-control,
But mere delay until I succumb.
Spring, the time of life and growth,
But I am resentful of such youth,
This ignorance and arrogance I loathe,
Please let me see the truth...
