Flying through the sky
hoping and
praying to remain high
Alone in my zone
Loving how the wind perpetually slaps my face
A constant reminder of why I keep to myself,
To protect my strongest muscle's treasure chest,
Because secretly I know they are conspiring my untimely death;
Like Icarus my wings won't fall
because I heed my father's words
and adhere to the call that is why I scribe written verse
To keep the gift dispersed from my parents lips,
Thanks for always staying inside my spirit,
Never will I fear!
When ya'll bless me with ya'll's divine presents-dropping
Jewels to mis-educated fools- still preaching:
“Always follow the rules that we laid out for you”
Because most folks practice lies, deceit, plus betrayal,
Therefore never will I snore,
never will my soul not sore,
and always always settle past scores…
