To feel numb when I read what they say
My soul and his
They shoot arrows on parade
They enter my dreams
Sew seeds to feed
A broken down view
Of how we proceed
I'd rather stay in jail
And never get out
Then open my heart
Filled with doubt
I know what you said
I have to marry
Still my heart's in anguish
Can't accept
So when you make me walk
Down that aisle
Wearing grey silky style
Repeating vows
I never wrote
Speaking words
That I'll revoke
Cause I'll put my hand out
For a plastic ring
All the while my fingers are crossed
Embarrassing
But never truly
Accepting
