Shimmer By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
In far off land where love now holds
A hand in need, a broken soul
There shimmers light, much light in need
Of candles lit where hearts off feed
A warmer presence of life once here
Closure to heartache to wipe ones fear
A vigil kept as tears are wept
To mourn those lost that hatred swept
Yet shimmer does what it does best
Rising above, evil thoughtless
Life precious keeps fragile the mass
In one accord, healing light casts
Be not afraid for darkness knows
It shall not keep life here it stole
For love was birthed in Gay Parie
Keeping those lost, alive indeed
Mankind must take what it has lost
This war of hate, this putrid course
To battlefront of realm it seeks
To Hell ISIS, this band of freaks
As shimmer brings the world to fight
Cowards, the scum of earthly blight
