That sure feels good
When I'm writin' about love, I feel especially good,
It's somethin' I have in my blood.
I've heard people say, I've an intimate way,
Time and practice is all that it took.
I work hard on my craft, and I test all the facts,
I've a diary of matters complex.
A note here and there, on her lips, eyes, and hair,
And two thousand words on her legs.
When I'm writin' about love, I've a feather-light touch,
A caress to excite where it should.
Why only last night, a lady went wild, an' said,
'My God Joe', 'but that sure feels good'.
