The Christmas card By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Sent years ago, before our time
Before Christmas became long lines
Of what to buy at all due cost
Defines today what has been lost
This card of endless love was sent
To womb for us with soul's intent
To read of love and forgiveness
The cure to fill our emptiness
No Hallmark card as we purchase
But none the less today searches
For all to come and kneel before
The message of Christmas few know as Lord
Yet some today will not give thought
A second glance, this message brought
Time all His, He gave this day
To celebrate of Him that played
More than a role, no bow or ribbon
Or perfume boxed but no less given
For us to know the card of joy
Unto us born, the card man voids
JESUS
