Where have the flowers have gone?

Where have all the beautiful flowers gone?
I see all stems and no blooms around.
There used to be all sorts of colors,
Rainbows of bliss, yet now not to be found.

Strains of overgrown grass,
Envelope the stems of emptiness.
No colors... no beauty... nothing.
All but a mass of dead mess.

Branches thrown everywhere,
In the field of missing color.
Brown emptiness dwell within,
No flowers of bliss of another.

I'm missing the beauty of flowers,
They just seemed to die away.
I search through the emptiness,
To try to find one... just one to stay.

Is there one... just one...
Bright encouraging flower?
I need the growth of happiness,
For this blissful power.

Where can the flowers have gone?
There are none that i see.
The colors have vanished from my eyes,
And I need to search for that happy me.
