I am happy to do His will,
The faith and hope He does instill;
His teachings are kept deep within,
Blocking any corruption and sin.
I will announce about the Good News,
Of the righteousness that I choose;
And I will never close my lips,
Of those assembled and worships.
I have not buried in my heart,
The righteousness that I impart;
I have been outspoken on Him,
His faithfulness that gives me vim.
I have not hidden any truth,
And never been at all uncouth;
His mercy giving salvation,
That has given a firm foundation.
He withholds not His compassion,
His truth protects me in fashion;
Because of His mercy and grace,
He is always there to embrace.
Countless evils have surrounded
Just as the trumpet has sounded;
For my sins have caught up with me,
So that I could no longer see.
They outnumber hairs on my head,
And making me wish I was dead;
Causing me to stray and depart,
From the Lord as I have lost heart.
I ask the Lord to rescue me,
To come quickly and get me free;
Let all those who seek end my life,
Be confused in the midst of strife.
Iniquities I put to shame,
In which I will never proclaim;
Let those who desire downfall,
Be disgraced as I make my call.
Let all who do seek Him rejoice,
To be glad and lift up their voice;
But I am oppressed and in need,
For my Savior nourish my seed.
