Comforting Is the Water's Edge

Domenic is a painter of ocean scenes and ships.
One day he ventures to the water's edge to capture the highlight of the day.
The water is teasing his bare feet as he is running alongside the waves.
Shortly, during his run, he waits for a time to get his easel.
Having painted most of his adult life he is captivated by the water.
Domenic opens the trunk of the car and sets his easel on his stand.
Gets his paints and brushes ready for a time at the water's edge.
A mountain is close by as it overhangs the rocks below.
Adjacent to the sandy beach is a fishing pier.
Captured by the lights of the evening Domenic paints what he sees.
Upon the canvas he makes his mark.
The blue waters are pristine clear and cool to the touch.
It is close to winter  as he paints his new masterpiece.
Another sight he captures is a man with a black wet suit is seen.
A surfer with the board that is tied to his ankle is far out from the edge.
Cool is the wind piercing Domenic's face but nonetheless invigorating.
Happiness is seen within Domenic's face as he continues to paint.
The seagulls gather around him as they blanket the sky with their white feathers.
