‘Twas not the moon
'Twas not the moon that caught my eye,
Nor a comet's tail that swept the sky,
I vouchsafe I may swear that I,
Was diverted by my Valentine.
'Twas not the stars that shone so bright,
Nor spotting birth signs 'cross the sky,
But a pretty girl with a tempting smile,
Who said she'd be my Valentine.
'Twas not the lightning bug that shines,
Or will-o'-the-wisp's mysterious light,
But legs and lips and more besides,
That add up to my Valentine.
