A Letter To My Late Dad

Dear Dad,
Today I observe your eleventh year of passing into Heaven.
You have left us with many lessons that we had to learn and did.
You taught us respect and to be truthful all the time.
Having reared us to be good and upright men you have instilled values.
Values that make us better citizens today than ever.
I do dearly love you and  want to emulate you in so many areas.
You have always worked hard to provide for your family.
I have; on the other hand, have found my career in  writing.
We are on the same wave length of how to treat others for which I give you praise.
You are the man who always stood by me when others wanted to turn their back.
I have nothing but praise to offer  you on this day for what you did.
I don't deserve to be in Heaven but Jesus makes me worthy.
He knew I had to be close to you and Mom plus little brother--Ronnie Lee.
I will do my best to perpetuate your name so others will know who you are.
I am most proud to be called your son and thank God for the privilege.
Love to  you for all time,
Cubby
