A thousand ways for a hundred reasons By Suge , www.PoetryPoem.com/sweetcuppincakes Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
My breath
Exhaled perfectly while
Poisoned fingertips
Grasp for chance.
Do I run away from monsters?
No.
I run from the demon
I can't escape.
I make room for him,
Dainty in my mind;
Growing every day.
The tears,
Sick and warm.
They beg to unwind,
Unravel,
Let the thunder of regret
Crush us.
But yes, cut off
The bitter parts.
Swimming in crimson,
How I miss the ways
We bleed.
A thousand ways to stab,
For a hundred reasons.
I craved the keys
That could unlock me;
I desired the locks,
That would chain me up.
I look forward to
The day they hide me
Away from myself.
So I can continue living
When I'd rather cease.
I missed my childhood,
Adult before age six.
I'm struggling to catch up,
Be on the same page as most.
I fall down,
Trampled,
I fall behind.
I linger.
I'm a stranger.
There's no end,
No beginning.
Life is a circle that
Swallows itself.
