as we dance a slow one
is the greatest pleasure
I've ever known.
This newfound excitement
is terrifying and so blissful
all at once, knowing how
easily I could be hurt…
But I cannot help it -
throwing caution to the wind
I have to let go and just sink
into this feeling of joy.
It's so hard to keep things
from moving too quickly,
when you know that love
might be just around the corner.
Every time you speak
I can feel who you are inside~
a gentle yet strong spirit.
And it amazes me how much
it seems you were made for me.
Alive…that's how you make me feel.
Like the waiting spring flowers,
seemingly asleep forever, just now
waking to a brand new life, bursting,
senses tingling with anticipation.
Have you waited as long as I
to find something so precious and rare?
We both know that it's there,
now we just have to let it bloom …
And drink in the incomparable beauty that is born.
