Put to death earthly things,
What is worldly to you;
The pleasure that it brings,
A temporary view.
So your sexual sin,
Perversion and passion;
Corrupts you deep within,
In satanic fashion.
Building of lust and greed,
As you worship your wealth;
Lets you not to succeed,
With your spiritual health.
It is because of sin,
God releases His wrath;
Having no discipline,
Upon your darkened path.
You live that kind of life,
As you walk in the dark;
And having so much strife,
The place where you embark.
Rid your cursing and lies,
Your hatred and temper;
Speaking truth makes you wise,
Living as per Scripture.
Rid yourself of the old,
To become someone new;
Eternal truth as told,
The Bible to construe.
The life you used to live,
Can easily be gone;
Because God will forgive,
Like a new day would dawn.
So be a new person,
With your knowledge renewed,
Like the Father and Son,
And His Spirit has viewed.
No matter Greek or Jew,
One who is slave or free;
Children of God are you,
No longer blind to see.
