Spring's Breath By Cynthia Jones, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetryandshortstories10 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Spring takes a deep breath
tries to relax from Winter's cold,
snow slowly melts beneath the sun
Winter weighed in as being bold.
Spring sun has been away
for far too long,
it's time for it to settle in
beam its brightest and be strong.
Birds flit and flutter
and are able to build their nests,
time for Winter to go away
wave goodbye, put it to rest.
Spring can finally take a breath
be content where it sits,
watch seedlings as they sprout
flowers will bloom, Spring won't quit.

I can breathe a sigh of relief and say Winter, for me, is finally gone. Snow still lingers, but warmth has shown up.
