WINE AND GATES

Living Married Thumbs, Ever Yet Met Never, Politely?

pandering, for a gold tooth
the waiting care for us for a laugh, timely frankfurter's
willing a new side of mustard, to give the same to a youth
risen and rued and courage under the thumb of duty, to a living word, there...

complications arise, the ridden noxious, glorious as service to an ideal
petite to finish the mealing, the wisdom to cause
the joke to the wind, where the miles are for one more, to heal
the shame versus the name, who has the right to the light we've seen smoke and cough?

in the fame of vices and the victory of a milestones flower, to know a bride
the bracing habit of groomed miracles for the residency of same, to live in the grace
of embarrassed eyes, for out the smile of detritus worth another stare, sides
of opportunity with an alcoholic destiny, know where the jest found a place...

tenderer than you, wanderer in the breed, Chinese noodles become fruit, and a pie does
turn yours into the lemon of a ride we know in the since of seasons to attest, or detest?
the punch line is still in your arms, the magic of angry fires in the spill of because
the tooth your loosing, the smooth ordeal of fingernails, the truth to a knuckled blessing...

pennies that own your smile, come from your persuaded mind
stiff competition for a naked clue to irony said, is simply salt
rather void accounting of a folded legend, is for the birds to know yourself trying
quiet interviews with the devil itself, is but a sight above forces that love, to ask now

is it us, or are you the other kind of decency?
to be found in the hands of jaded over hateful lips, toward time, is our promise
with a peculiar taste in tongue and appreciated spite, we know your history
honor the callous beyond the horizon, and do you even know, the chance of all to become wise?
