ALONG FOR THE RIDE

When I close my eyes
It becomes ok
It becomes tolerable again
The pain goes away
The hurt disappears
When I dream
I'm a new creation
My past is just a memory
The evil fades away
But I always have
To open them again
My eyes have to
See as life really is
And its not a game anymore
I can't shut my whole life off
So I hide deep inside
And go along for the ride
