Without A Sound

Without a Sound           May 1, 2016

We said goodbye without a sound

Ten men had died, sadness all around

They said goodbye beneath an Irish sky

Ireland's children forced to die

Black flags fly, we still ask why

Our children gone, with no goodbye

Children from our streets, life was not to be

Taken by those people for wanting to be free

Little streets where the drums did beat

Fourteen died with no retreat

Belfast streets where heroes died

Bobby walked with rights denied

Mother Ireland lost her sons

The hang mans noose and foreign guns

At the GPO our heroes showed

Fight to the death for freedom's road

Rest in peace my fallen son

Our new beginning has begun

WE said goodbye without a sound

Ten men had died, sadness all around
