April Fool

Let's all sing the Rule Britannia

Wave the Union Flag aloft

Sing God save the Queen

That's about all that we have left

Now they've dumped Steel

To follow the death of Old King Coal

After punishing the unemployed

By cutting back the rate of Dole.

So let's wave the Union flag

To show our heartfelt thanks

That they wisely spent our money

Propping up dishonest dodgy banks.
And thanks to our generosity

Having come to our senses

MPs can uphold their heads thanks

To increasing salary and expenses.

Now we'll dress all the sick and idle

As peasants from our Feudal Days

Teach gratitude and humility

In thanks for our generous ways.
We'll leave them on the sink estates

Without gas or electric power

Because we've privatised the lot and

Don't want the profits any lower,

We'll hire out our navy

To guard world  shipping lanes

We will have the Carriers although

They won't have any aeroplanes.
And having returned our country

To feudalism' s powerless dingy dark

We'll invite our Chinese friend in

To run us as a history theme park.

Where we'll all sing Rule Britannia

And wave our Union Flags up high

As we humbly tug our fore locks

To the tourists passing by

And we'll change our named to Britain

Having just dumped the Great

To reflect our new status as the world's

Newest True Blue High Tory Fascist State.
