Guilt
Guilty feeling torments
the worst
'If only I had done that'
really hurts
But the things don't
work that way
What is done once is
here to stay
At the most one may try
to make amends
Hoping that the thing
somehow mends
Guilt keeps tormenting
the soul anyhow
Going on in the mind
like a jigsaw
the worst
'If only I had done that'
really hurts
But the things don't
work that way
What is done once is
here to stay
At the most one may try
to make amends
Hoping that the thing
somehow mends
Guilt keeps tormenting
the soul anyhow
Going on in the mind
like a jigsaw
