The Backyard Of My Life

Ghost Rider And Lady Godiva

Lady Godiva the little conniver
On a motorcycle with the ghost rider
Watching the sun sink into the sea
On a journey in to mystery
Heading for the great unknown
She can never return she can never go home
Into the deep like a rolling stone
Like so many girls lady Godiva could sing
When the house of cards came crashing down
She lost everything
She was used to getting what she wants
She never gives in she never gives out
The worlds still spinning around whats it all about?
Lady Godiva you'll never find her
With the back biter or the midnight rambler
Watching tears turn to misery
On a journey into mystery
Heading For the great unknown
She can never return she can never go home
Into the deep like a broken stone
The ghost rider rode all night
On wheels of fire faster then the speed of light
He was a wild one a rebel without a cause
A man of means an unstoppable force
He had become accustomed to
Burning down the road and starting a new
Lady Godiva stepped off the train
On the cast iron shore standing in the rain
The black widow was waiting with a crystal ball
She predicted that someday the stars would fall
A taxi driver took lady Godiva
To a place where nobody knew her name
Away from suspicion far from blame
Lady Godiva the little conniver
On a motorcycle with the ghost rider
Watching the sun sink into the sea
On a journey in to mystery
Heading for the great unknown
She can never return she can never go home
Into the deep like a rolling stone
The ghost rider pulled into town
Searching for somewhere to lay his head down
When the black widow whispered with a stutter
Try the casino if you fancy a flutter
Something inside told him he should
When he saw lady Godiva dealing stud
He laid all his money down all his hopes and dreams
Everything it seems was falling into place
He had money style and grace
Lady Godiva and the ghost rider
Drove off into the night
Down the back roads to keep out of sight
Wanted dead or alive
They both managed to survive
To die another day
With a little piece of mind they both slip away
Lady Godiva the little conniver
On a motorcycle with the ghost rider
Watching the sun sink into the sea
On a journey in to mystery
Heading for the great unknown
She can never return she can never go home
Into the deep like a rolling stone
Like a rolling stone
