Trading in the Rust Bucket

Poem 788 – Trading in the Rust Bucket   –Written on 3-4-2016
 An amazing thing happened the other day,
We traded in our rust bucket for another car.
It all started on a bright sun-shinny day in pure Michigan.
Going car shopping was the first on my husband's and I's
To do list that day, we arrived at the car dealership early that morning.
We first looked at a Jeep, that we fell in love with;
However, driving the vehicle didn't seem to be any essence of negativity
Until we were on our way home. On our way home, I was afraid for our own
Safety due to the jeep acting like it was bad gas, jerking back and forth
Or even a potential messed up motor according to another car shop's opinion.
So we went back to the car dealership that had sold us the jeep in the first place
To see if we could either get another vehicle or get the rust bucket back
Because we didn't want to risk our lives with this vehicle acting up in this manner.
So, on the way back to the dealers we called the man who gave us the vehicle
And told him what was going on with the vehicle, including the fact that
We were on our way back to the dealers and that he should expect us back here shortly.
The blessing that was awaiting us on our return we could have never imagined
In a million years that blessing was awaiting us back at the dealership.
This blessing was a vehicle that we wound up receiving and now owning
That was two times the asking price that we had actually paid for the vehicle
Because of the other vehicle's safety issue. So trading in the Rust Bucket was not
That bad of an investment after all because we got a vehicle that is
Reliable and dependable for my husband to go back and forth to work in,
Which he has been needing probably since last year.
Trading in the Rust Bucket ironically enough happened to be a
Blessing in disguise and thank God for that!
Being blessed with this blessing gives me reassurance that no matter what
God will provide and will bless those who are faithful to Him;
Even though I already knew this I did not fully believe God's written
Word until that very frightening and blessed Saturday afternoon.
