 Into The Dark--By Krysta Ray
She screams out

"No! Help me hold on!"

Running into his gentle arms.

She looks up so scared and he stares back

Love in his eyes.

The love she's been waiting so long for.

She knows it's real.
She knows it's different.
She knows it's good.
She knows it's pure.
She knows it's light

But as she pushes

His patient arms away

Running into the corner

Embracing what she's known for so long

She sits in the dark for

It's comfortable

But then his comforting arms slide

Around her.

As she slowly starts to slip

Into the dark

He whispers

"Don't go…I need you."
