It’s hard to remember
When I last walked this path.
The wind watched me struggle
As it tugged at the scarf
Around my neck and
feet walked numb.
It was a Tuesday,
Mid January,
When I last walked this path.
The fullness of hope
Beckoned me forward and
My steps suddenly took flight
And I soared where only birds go.
This won’t be the last time
I walk this path.
