Nothing above a sigh We all have cause to give up on love now and Then, barren days, barren nights, intimacy on Hold or on a low light. New dresses untouched, Spike heels in a scattered line, lingerie that Hasn't blushed for weeks... and for the guys Suits still in polybags, tie pins in need of a Polish, ties with the whiff of tired spice and a Gold watch in need of a battery. Oh, love, why Hast thou deserted me?
With no one to love and no one to love you, There comes a deafening silence - you'll know It when you hear it - it's the way the world felt Before light, the way Adam felt before Eve; but As with all things in this world it will pass and With its passing will come another kind of silence, The silence inspired by a kiss, when there is no Need for words, and nothing above a sigh
Reaches the ear.
