If I Should Fail Your TestLord, when I am down, really really low This is the time, I want you to know That while in the valley, I'm not always my best Lord, please forgive me, if I fail your test If I fail your test Lord, let me try again I want to do better, but I am just human I don't know all the answers probably never will So, Lord, please some truth to me, now reveal Sometimes it seems inspite of all that I do Troubles keep growing until they seem bigger than you Lord, I still believe and trust in your power Please stay with me every minute of every hour Sometimes I'm bitter when I continue to give And a quick harvest, I fail to receive I know you know best, what's right for me So when I'm confused, please help me see Seems sometimes my closest friends are against me Seems everything I do or say people disagree I just can't smile no matter how hard I try Sometimes I even break down and cry When I have loved ones who are so very ill I pray to you to have your Holy Will When your will is not what I want it to be I too often pout and think you don't love me Norma Duncan copyright 2003/2004 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
