'' Let Nothing Stand In Your Way ''
I'm feeling depressed,
Tired and distressed,
It always happens on cue,
Is it just me who's feeling oppressed?
What is it that does it to you.
Serious or mundane,
It can drive us insane,
As simple as no milk for your tea,
On my parade it always does rain,
The truth is it's all down to me.
The subject of age,
Puts me in a rage,
It doesn't matter be it young or old,
With life you should always want to engage,
But that very thought leaves me cold.
Watching the news,
Why does it amuse,
That death and destruction are the norm,
We are listening and watching the Editors views,
As humans we prefer a good storm.
The gossips cheap talk,
Is meant to shock,
Otherwise you wouldn't want to hear,
Thing is we all have the power to block,
To their rantings we don't need to adhere.
Let's face the facts,
It's how one reacts,
That determines if it's joy or strife,
With God or Lucifer we all make pacts,
It's how we choose to live life.
Going through a hard time,
With a mountain to climb?
Stop fretting over that you can't alter,
Throughout your life you should be in your prime,
Thinking positive means, you won't falter.
By getting annoyed,
I create a void,
Negativity then rules my being,
Why shouldn't my life be enjoyed?
What is it I am not seeing.
Half empty or half full,
Is a powerful tool,
Used wisely positivity will win,
Living in the negative to yourself is cruel,
Today let your new life begin.
The choice is yours,
Being blind obscures,
Rid yourself of all the dismay,
Ultimately my friend you hold all the cures,
